A new sector dedicated to French Design was unveiled at Art Paris, the unmissable event for modern and contemporary art. The event was held at the Grand Palais from April 3 to 6, 2025, the year marking the centenary of the Exposition internationale des arts décoratifs et industriels modernes. For the occasion, Studio Maxime d'Angeac imagined a unique setting to showcase its new collection, revealed exclusively at the event.
For the first time, the French architect and designer presented a collection of furniture and decorative arts entitled “Contrepoint”. In this collection, Art Deco inspiration runs like a red thread, offering a contemporary reinterpretation of its codes by Maxime d'Angeac. The purity of the shapes and the preciousness of the materials used underline the finesse of each piece's design, a true signature of the designer. Each piece of furniture asserts a singular identity while weaving a subtle link with the others, in a harmonious dialogue. To bring them to life, Studio Maxime d'Angeac surrounds itself with the most prestigious ateliers in France, such as our upholstery ateliers, where excellence of craftsmanship meets the designer's artistic vision.
Our teams in Lyon are proud to have worked with Maxime d'Angeac on several of the seats in his new collection. Each creation challenges perception while embracing comfort, in a subtle balance of materials, movement and art: the Mezzo armchair, the Métronome armchair, the Pince-Me Pince-Moi armchair, the Point d'Orgue sofa and the Diapason stool. The Tempo desk completes the collection.
