After India Mahdavi and Vincent Darré, Pierre Yovanovitch was the third jury president of the Design Parade. This international festival dedicated to interior design took place in Toulon, France, from June 29th to July 1st 2018.
Like the international festival Design Parade in Hyères, France, dedicated to design, the Design Parade Toulon gathers several exhibitions alongside a contest that rewards and supports young interior designers.
10 young talented people were selected by a jury chaired by Pierre Yovanovitch. The festival gave them the opportunity to display their work inside the former bishopric of the city.
As an art center, the villa Noailles hosts and supports contemporary creation in fashion, photography, design and architecture. The French architect and designer Robert Mallet-Stevens designed the building extraordinary architecture. Charles and Marie-Laure Noailles later developed this villa into an extraordinary sponsorship for artistic creations.
Through this initiative, the villa Noailles is dedicated to increase support offered to young designers by providing an international visibility to their work and opportunities to meet professionals of the industry.
Pierre Yovanovitch has also displayed his own exhibition called “L'Érotomanie de Mlle Oops”. For this, the French interior designer entrusted Jouffre to fabricate the long red ripplefold drapes of the kitchen, as well as the Mr and Mrs Oops chairs. The Lyon workshop also realized two Mama Bear armchairs for the parlor.
Until September 30th 2018, follow Pierre Yovanovitch telling the story of Miss Oops through each room designed for the festival.
