In an atmosphere between the gentle hills of Malibu and the waves of the Pacific Ocean, designer Billy Cotton imagined a family villa full of colors and life. Entirely built by architect William Hefner, this luminous house is located just a stone's throw from the beautiful seaside, and highlights natural materials.

The American designer was inspired by the breathtaking panorama. "The interiors are inspired from the light and bright colors of the ocean, where a range of blues blends into a spectacular symphony of orange, yellow, and pink, such as a sunset," says Billy Cotton. Each of the rooms extends to outdoor living spaces with tall glass balustrades creating a wide opening to the horizon. The contemporary interior offers a pleasant journey through furniture, objects and artwork. Our American teams had the privilege of showcasing their savoir-faire by creating several upholstered furniture and drapery works. The aim was to create a home in harmony with its magnificent location, full of colorful tones and personality, reflecting the spirit of its clients.

The teak parquet flooring and plaster envelope, minimalist furniture and abundant natural light are some of the flawless elements that describe this stunning modern villa. In the living room, which offers an exceptional panorama of the Californian beach, there is a large corner sofa manufactured by our craftsmen. Upholstered in a blue De Le Cuona fabric that admirably hugs its voluptuous curves, the sofa is placed next to a Pierre Chapo "Eye" coffee table and Gio Ponti rattan armchairs, considered one of the most important designers of the 20th century. For the multimedia room, our upholsterers also made a second sofa adorned with blue decorative cushions that evoke the colors of the ocean. This one is particularly notable with its suspended seat that blends into the rectangular shape of the room.

Flowing throughout the dwelling, the wooden paneling that can also be found in the master bedroom is a true blend of design and craftsmanship. In this room, which also benefits from a privileged location, our teams created the bed as well as the large curtains that decorate the windows. To make these drapes, our seamstresses meticulously hand-sewed and assembled linen fabric panels from Maison Pierre Frey. Finally, our installers fitted blinds on all the bay windows of the house.
