> Visit websiteRich in 100 plus years of history, the house is in the heart of the Hamptons, a heavenly region located near New York City, where the famous duo, known for their colorful and clear rooms, was entrusted with the top to bottom renovation of this legendary residence. To make this architectural jewel come alive, we deployed our French savoir-faire through the creation of upholstery works throughout the entire dwelling.
The home, with imposing dimensions, was built in 1913. With its elegant appearance, the sublime Georgian-style house is a real treasure within. Starting in the foyer, we discover from floor to ceiling magnificent details that adorn the space. The aesthetic direction that the designers gave to the entire house is announced: a perfect mix of classic and contemporary styles. In this room, our seamstresses have manufactured beautiful roman shades that let the natural light pass through, in a cream fabric from Dedar Milano Maison framed by elegant panels of patterned silk from Lauren Hwang.
The foyer leads to the vast living room at one end and the dining room on the other, entered through symmetrical doors framed by pilasters. For the salon, Jouffre created pairs of sofas and chairs, recovered multiple antiques and fashioned understated embellished curtains with soft valances for a room awash in warm tones of coral. In the square dining room, the newly paneled walls are lacquered in cobalt blue, and the windows are dressed in elegant wool satin embroidered wool by Holland and Sherry, crafted by our magical petites mains..
In the spacious kitchen, a space that allies the chic and the practical, a sense of lightness and openness is pervasive, flooded with light from the adjoining porch. Its greige and purple palette dresses up and softens this room in which our craftsmen upholstered bar stools in "Bali Grass Greystone" from Holly Hunt and made diaphanous curtains as well.
Climbing the stairs, we are naturally guided to the main bedroom suite for which our atelier has manufactured the headboard and window treatments, in a Clarence House fabric, as well as the bed bench upholstered in a beautiful yellow and orange fabric from Christopher Hyland. Additional chairs and ottomans by Jouffre outfit the room in comfort.
This space opens onto two adjoining en suites: Mr. and Ms. Dressing and baths, in which several chairs have been upholstered by our craftsmen. We notably created a vanity chair in a lilac fabric for Ms. and various chairs for Mr., upholstered with the Dundee Kumquat fabric from Clarence House. Our atelier also manufactured roman shades in fabrics from Dedar Milano and Rogers & Goffigon, to dress the windows.
The house is vast and the hands of Jouffre are evident throughout: in addition to the spaces described the library, five guest suites, and multiple sitting and media rooms have the touch of our workrooms. Bringing the vision of Drake/Anderson to life was a joy for Jouffre!
