> Visit websiteThe American design studio Drake/Anderson renewed their collaboration with our New York team to participate at the most high-profile of the design showcases : 2018 Kips Bay Decorator Show House. The event takes place in a seven-level, 36-foot-wide townhouse located in the Upper East Side. Each year, celebrated interior designers transform the place into a an amazing exhibition of fine furnishing and art.
Jamie Drake and Caleb Anderson thought of our workshops to help them design a living room and an adjacent bar, which made use of all the savoir-faire of the french upholstery and window treatment company founded in 1987 in Lyon.
Firstly, our craftsperson were in charge of manufacturing all the sheers, drapes and roman shades for the four windows in the living room. The main fabric Drake/Anderson selected for the curtains is “Serail” by Lelièvre. The French fabric house also provided the wool fabric of the roman shades (Camargue) and the linen of the sheers (Madrague Ficelle).
The beautiful handmade cuffs and flanges at the leading edges of the drapes and at the bottom of the shades are made with delicates fabrics from SICIS (Tessere Collection) and Manuel Canovas (Bazas Citron).
Our artisans have fabricated a 13-foot long sofa upholstered in Taormina, a antique cold cotton velvet from Sanderson. The designers, who wanted the sofa to be extremely comfortable, asked Jouffre to fabricate seven unique throw pillows (fabrics from Lelièvre / trimmings from Houlès and Samuel & Sons / painted fabric by Le Studio Anthost).
Our artisans also upholstered an elegant bench by Marc Bankowsky from Maison Gerard (fabric by Charles Schambourg). Finally, our teams have reupholstered with horsehair two collection Carlton Hobbs armchairs from the 19th century.
Our French team helped by sending 2 artisans to complete the wall-upholstery on all walls and soffits of the living room. It has been realized in a Lelièvre fabric and the panels were beaded by Ankasa.
Again, we would like to thank Jamie Drake and Caleb Anderson for their trust and for giving us the opportunity to be part of such a great charity exhibition.
