> Visit websiteRenowned for their sophisticated, refined and elegant interior design, the Drake/Anderson studio has once again collaborated with our craftsmen to participate in developing a New York residence. This living space with its panoramic view of Manhattan was entirely imagined by the interior designers for a couple who, for the fourth time, have called upon their expertise.
Designing this incredible residence was a real challenge for Jamie Drake, Caleb Anderson and their teams who had a plan in mind before the building was even built. Once inside the apartment, designers reconfigured the space to take advantage of "every open line of sight from north to south, from east to west" says Jamie Drake. They imagined innovative solutions to exploit every inch of space, from floor to ceiling. The designer duo requested our teams to realize the upholstery and drapery work for this exceptional place.
Our craftsmen had the pleasure of leaving imprints of their savoir-faire in various rooms of the residence. In the first lounge overlooking the east side of Manhattan, our artisans realized the wall-upholstery with a fabric created and woven by Toyine Sellers, thus bringing depth to the room. Our teams installed a channeled wall-upholstery in a faux leather provided by Innovations to sublimate the walls of the lounge. Our seamstresses dedicated themselves to making the ripple fold curtains to dress the immense windows of the apartment, allowing the daylight to be subtly filtered.
In the master bedroom, bright and relaxing, our upholsterers made the king size bed covered with a sublime blue Dedar velvet, and decorated with trimmings from the French house Houlès. The curtains of the bedroom were made in a taupe colored fabric and installed on motorized rods. Once opened, these drapes reveal a breathtaking view of the city.
To complete the three guest rooms of the residence, three pairs of curtains were made in different exceptional fabrics from Romo Villa Nova, Designers Guilds and Elitis.
For the breakfast room facing the south side of Manhattan, our craftsmen manufactured and upholstered two yellow armchairs resting on varnished and stained walnut legs. These two chairs allow the couple to enjoy an ever so surprising view while comfortably seated.
