Hyatt has opened its first luxury resort in Morocco, marking the brand’s third property in Africa, following Park Hyatt Zanzibar and the upcoming 2025 project in Johannesburg. Nestled in an idyllic location with sweeping views of the Atlas Mountains, Park Hyatt Marrakech offers the perfect gateway to explore the city’s rich culture. Art lovers will find themselves in proximity to several notable galleries and museums, including the Al Maaden Museum of Contemporary African Art (MACAAL) and the Farid Belkahia Museum. For those seeking adventure, the region offers an array of experiences from hot air ballooning and desert excursions to paragliding over the Kik Plateau.

Designed by renowned interior decorator Imaad Rahmouni, whom Charles Jouffre met during his time in Morocco, the resort features 16 pavilions arranged around a central courtyard, seamlessly blending traditional Arab-Berber influences with a modern design aesthetic. The interior is further elevated by an extensive collection of over 700 artworks and decorative pieces curated by the Ifitry Artist Residency in Marrakech. Among these standout pieces are a mesmerizing chandelier by Mounat Charrat and abstract works by Italian artist Gianni Lucchessi, which grace the resort’s grand lobby.

The property offers an impressive array of world-class amenities, including fine dining restaurants, versatile meeting spaces, a signature spa, a children’s club, and tranquil pools. The resort's expansive rooms and suites combine contemporary luxury with the timeless allure of Marrakech. Our Moroccan artisans had the privilege of contributing to this extraordinary project by crafting much of the seating throughout the resort.

Under the creative vision of the designer, the project took just over a year to complete, from January 2023 to January 2024. This ambitious endeavor unfolded in five distinct phases, allowing our craftsmen to demonstrate their exceptional skills in producing bespoke furniture designed exclusively for this property.

Upon entering the hotel, guests are welcomed into a stunning lobby, illuminated by a breathtaking chandelier composed of nearly 600 handcrafted ceramic pieces by Mounat Charrat, suspended from the ceiling to form a constellation of meteors. Two striking abstract paintings by Gianni Lucchessi create a dramatic contrast against the textured raw earth walls. In this exquisite setting, our team of upholsterers installed a collection of contemporary sofas, each resting on a solid walnut base, adding to the sophisticated atmosphere.

The Meeting Residence is ideal for corporate events and intimate celebrations. Our craftsmen furnished seven private, elegant reception rooms with large, custom-made banquettes and lounge chairs, all set on solid walnut bases. Each seat was carefully constructed, with the frames meticulously strapped and the backs stretched to hold expertly sculpted foam padding, before being upholstered in luxurious fabric from Maison Bisson Bruneel.

In the Pavilion Bar, where guests can indulge in artisanal desserts while enjoying the warmth of nearby fireplaces and the charm of surrounding bookshelves, our team installed beautifully crafted armchairs, sofas, and a stunning circular banquette, adorned with plush decorative cushions.

The Park Hyatt Marrakech Spa, a serene sanctuary dedicated to wellness and rejuvenation, is another highlight of the resort. In this airy, light-filled space with minimalist décor, our artisans crafted the outdoor terrace chairs, using special foam designed for outdoor seating. The exposed wooden elements were made from solid teak, finished with a protective coating to ensure durability against the elements, enhancing the longevity of the pieces.

To complete the resort’s offerings for families, the Kidz Club invites children into a world of enchantment. The entrance is furnished with a playful sofa, armchair, outdoor banquette cushions, and an oversized pouf, transforming the space into an inviting playground. Our skilled upholsterers installed these custom pieces earlier this year, creating a warm, welcoming environment for the youngest guests.
